Biography: Hankz Hankui Zhuo is a full Professor of School of Artificial Intelligence at Nanjing University (NJU) in China. Before joining NJU, he was a faculty member at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) from 2009 to 2024. He received B.Sc. and Ph.D. from SYSU in 2004 and 2009, respectively. He was a Ph.D. Student jointly trained by SYSU and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) from 2007 to 2009. He was a Postdoc at Arizona State University (ASU) from 2012 to 2013, a Visiting Scholar at HKUST from 2013 to 2014, and Visisting Scholar at ASU in 2015. He was elected as an Executive Council member of ICAPS (International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling) between 2021 and 2027. He served as a Conference co-Chair of ICAPS in 2021. He was elected as an AAAI Senior Member in 2020 (only 12 senior members were elected in 2020). His research interests span automated Planning, machine Learning, multi-Agent systems, Natural language processing, and their related innovative applications (denoted by X). This blend of disciplines forms the core of what he calls XPLAN.
